Pricing
Being set up as a basic tracking studio we’ve tried to be a bit different in our pricing:
- For full song production direct at our Normacott facility we charge £50 per song [recorded/mixed/mastered] for this you will get the use of the in-house microphone/editing setup and an engineer, normally a single morning/afternoon or evening session encompasses a basic one-track recording.
- A 'day' recording is just that, we get there when you’re ready and we’re happy to be there until you finish. This has a traditional midnight cut-off with that being the end of the ‘day’. We cap the cost of a ‘day’ recording at £150 – essentially if you can get through 5 songs in a ‘day’ you get two recorded and produced for free!
- The ‘live’ set-up has undergone recent refurbishment and it is now possible to lay down great demos as a live band in one take, with overdubs tweaking the sound afterwards, this facility and investment in the studio speeds up the tracking process for bands with lots of material who want to lay the tracks down and come back for a more detailed and directed approach at a later date, or is perfect for those who just want to lay the tracks down fast.
PLEASE NOTE:
Higher-grade post-production work is handled by our sister company ‘Minty Fresh Recordings’ through our London facilities. Mixing and Mastering is available at a basic cost of £15 per hour or per track depending on requirements.
Post-Production:
We offer a range of other post-production and complimentary services through our established third-party partners such as:
- Music video production [and associated ISRC coding]
- Live DVD production
- Authoring
- CD Mastering
- ISRC/copyright encoding
- Physical distribution to the major stores
- Online distribution to the major sites [including iTunes]
- Pressing/Manufacturing of demos or finished products
- Photography
- Web development/Hosting
These services also include the design and development of associated artwork, press releases and the production of promotional material to accompany your record [Wrist bands, Slapper Bands, T-shirts, Badges etc.] You name it, we can find it – we can even point you in the direction of burlesque dancers and PR firms! Bespoke Recording
For those high-grade productions we can provide recording facilities to suit your budget, through our arrangement with SubZero and Studio-Care we can pretty much offer any kind of recording equipment you may wish to use producing some of the best sounding recordings in the midlands and at amazingly cheap rates Please contact the management for further details.
Equipment:
We run a 24-track digital desk as a basic set-up
We have a Digi-002 rig as our intermediate set-up [mobile from London, this facility MUST be booked at the same time as your session to ensure availability]
Through our relationship with Studio-Care we have access to pretty much any microphone or piece of recording equipment available. Please contact the management with regard to your personal requirements and/or budget for a detailed quote
PLEASE NOTE
Normally bands provide all their own equipment/backline but we do have a variety of amps/cabs etc on site. These are available at an extra cost [Price On Application]
